Do you offer clinical Pilates at Douglasdale?
Yes. Melanie Brown teaches clinical Pilates at Douglasdale.
Can you help children, teenagers and dance injuries?
Yes, the team is qualified to treat injuries in younger patients. Common presentations include Osgood-Schlatter’s disease (knee pain in growing preteens and teenagers), Sever’s disease (heel pain in active children usually between the age of 8 and 15), dance-related ankle and hip injuries, and back pain from heavy school bags and long school days.
Parents are welcome in the treatment room with younger children.

Where is the Douglasdale Therapy Centre and what is parking like?
We’re at 19 Topaas Avenue in the Douglasdale Therapy Centre. Parking is available in front of the premises, and we’re across the road from the Douglasdale police station. Patients come to us from Douglasdale, Olivedale, Northriding, Jukskei Park, and as far as Randpark Ridge.
How long is a physiotherapy session?
Each session is 40 minutes. We chose that length deliberately so your physio has time to assess properly, treat hands-on, and walk you through what’s going on and what to do at home.
For more on how the practice works and our approach to care, see our About Lamberti Physiotherapy page.
Do I need a doctor's referral letter to book?
No. Physiotherapists are first-line practitioners in South Africa, so you can book directly with us. Some medical aids plans require a referral from a GP, so please check at least 24 hours before you head to your appointment. Both Sports Injury Benefit patients and Spinal Conservative Care Programme patients from Discovery require referral and activation from their GP or specialist.
If you do have a recent referral or surgeon’s notes, bring them along.
