Natalie Ruivo’s treatment interests include headaches, knee, ankle and shoulder sporting injuries. In addition, she has treated and provided rehabilitation for many patients who suffer from neck pain and headaches, lower back pain and waterpolo-related sporting injuries. She enjoys manual (hands on) therapy for all conditions, as well as strapping to assist in strengthening and correcting posture.
Natalie has attended various lectures and courses on an ongoing basis and has a keen interest in musculoskeletal, sports and paediatric physiotherapy. She has been trained in Dry Needling, Kinesiology taping and Pilates (beginners and Intermediate).
After graduating, she spent time at Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital seeing a variety of conditions within post-natal, paediatrics and ICU areas. She also toured with a charity cycling team providing on site physiotherapy.
In April 2012 Natalie moved to London where she worked at a sports and orthopaedic practice, treating various sports injuries and other musculoskeletal conditions, as well as providing pitch side assistance for Touch Rugby Tournaments.
She returned to South Africa in June 2013 and began working for Lamberti Physiotherapy the following month.
Natalie Ruivo-Almeida completed the postgraduate course in Orthopeadic Manipulative Therapy (OMT) in 2016.
In February 2017 she was appointed as the Associate Manager at the Dainfern Practice.
